ï»¿Please join TIDES at our 6th Annual Technology Demonstration taking place at Fort McNair (Waterfront Metro) 2-5 October. The TIDES demo showcases innovative, low-cost, sustainable technologies for stressed populations, post-war, post-disaster, and impoverished. All activities will be independent of the power grid, and communications will be live. This event is free and will be live all week, so please feel free to visit anytime during normal working hours to interact, see, and discuss the policies, practices, technologies, and organizations that affect Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief and Stabilization and Reconstruction efforts.

When: 2-5 October (during normal working hours, 900AM to 500PM- except for 5 Oct. we end at noon)
Where: Fort Lesley J. McNair, National Defense University

This year's TIDES demonstration will involve significant changes from previous displays you might have seen. Some of the new features this year include:

Lunchtime Speaker Series: Guest Speakers will discuss topics beneficial to visitors and the STAR-TIDES network. (Noon to 1300)

2 Oct: Major Brandon Newell, Expeditionary Energy Office

3 Oct: Mr. Scott Sklar, President, The Stella Group Ltd.

4 Oct: Ms. Carmen Mauk, Executive Director, Burners Without Borders

Working Groups: Voluntary one hour meetings to discuss a specific issue concerning sustainable solutions. Open to Vendors and the Public.

Exhibitor Showcase: Exhibitors will present their ideas and technologies. It will be located at their station and last no more than 20 minutes.
