  • Demonstrations and Conferences
    • Capitol Yacht Club, Washington DC--use of waterborne assets in emergency planning
    • AFCEA West conference, San Diego CA
    • Crisis Management Experiment III, Honduras
    • NDIA Logistics Conference, Miami
    • Africa Command Exhibit, Stuttgart, Germany
    • FA-Hum (Fuerzas Aliadas Humanitarias), El Salvador
    • AFCEA Joint Warfighting Conference, Virginia Beach
    • Golden Phoenix, multi-stakeholder first responder training, San Diego area
  • Different kinds of STAR-TIDES shelters completed six months of exposure testing in western Virginia, with the principal damage being UV delamination of tape and attacks by bears
  •  Support was provided to requests for infrastructures suitable for the Canadian Arctic and victims of cyclone Nargis in Myanmar
  • Extensive work has been done in Nangarhar Province in Eastern Afghanistan supporting increased bandwidth for NGOs and Afghan citizens and the installation of a Fab Lab  from MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms.  
  • Efforts are underway to make more US government imagery available to business, government and civil society stakeholders who are participating in humanitarian assistance, economic capacity- building and related missions
  • Planning is underway for a "field demonstration" (off the power grid) in the Washington, DC area during the week of October 6.
