Capital Yacht Club hexayurt experience

Capital Yacht Club - cheaper tape on edges falls off more easily - releasing more fibers & dust
At the Capital Yacht Club TIDES demo Friday and Saturday, we assembled a 12' hexayurt with 6 people in about two hours. Based on our experience in tearing down this hexayurt on Saturday (1 March 2008), I would say there is a significant drawback to using cheaper tape to cover the edges of insulation-board panels. When disassembling the yurt, the cheaper edge tape tends to break up and fall off more easily, again leaving the edges exposed and scattering nasty fibers everywhere, to irritate skin, eyes and lungs. The fiber-release problem is now worse than with new panels, since the board edges have been banged up, cut, torn and crushed to some degree in the assembly and dissassembly process. So if there is some expectation of tearing down and re-using boards, it probably makes sense to use a more durable and wider tape to cover the edges before first assembly.
Related to this.... what is the actual composition of the yellow foam-like material that these boards are made of, and what are the risks if any? I know there have been recommendations that people wear gloves and masks when working with this material, but in my observation most people don't.

Embedded Media Only Good For One Image
Sir,
I see you tried to embed the Picasa album in your post. Right now you can only embed a single image. In the future I hope to support embedding an entire set but the code still needs work. I made the change for you.
Best approach is to copy the URL from the first image in the album or set into the site here. That way, when a user clicks on the image here they are taken to the beginning of the album or set on either Flickr or Picasa.
Thanks,
Coby
