RUBB, Inc. - RDS Steel-Frame Shelter

Shelter size:
<45m2
Shelter Climate:
All Weather
Shelter Function:
Long-Term

This particular shelter (33' span) has been designed for rapid deployment and erection using a minimum workforce, and without the aid of mechanical handling equipment. The shelters can be easily connected together using access links that can be incorporated in the ends and in the sidewalls.

The shelter framework is manufactured from steel box sections, which are hot dipped galvanized for corrosion protection.  The covering membrane is fabricated from high tenacity PVC polyester fabric which is flame retardant.

A PVC inner skin, which has foil backed insulation panels fitted, to give extra protection in both hot and cold climates can also be provided.  Further protection to the shelter in very hot climates can be provided by means of a sun screen cover, this cover deters the rays from the sun so that the shelter does not overheat. Windows can be provided along with blackout covers if required. A suitable vermin screen can be fitted to all doors and window openings.  The shelter is provided with a full PVC fabric groundsheet, this can be covered with optional non-slip inter-connectable flooring.  Full lighting and electrical systems are available with this shelter system, and there is provision for power points to be distributed within the shelter to meet the demands of the user. Access ports can be provided into the shelter to accommodate the ducting for any externally sited Environmental Control Units (ECU), Power supply and signal cables.
