I noticed this article today about "The Grid" which seems to be a big step forward in terms of speed and I wonder if this is linked to Comcasts announcement of 50mb service in the Twin Cities. At $150/month though- what does this hold for the availability of things like this for most people? And how revolutionary would this be to the world? How quick and expensive will it be to build the infrastructure for this?
