The purpose of TIDES's infrastructure directory is to provide users with information about infrastructure solutions that may meet their needs; therefore, we want to provide users with the most useful available. The informational categories we have identified so far are:

Water Sources: well, fog water, surface water, rainwater, spring water
Lifting and Distribution: hand pumps, powered pumps, gravity distribution
Storage and Recharge: storage of harvested rainwater, tank, groundwater -- sand dam, groundwater -- recharge
Treatment: filter, chemical treatment, boiling/pasteurization, solar/UV disinfectant, reverse osmosis, large scale commercial system
Use of Water: irrigation, pond farming, sanitation, drinking
