Solar concentrator for after dark indoor heating and cooking
Submitted by mcardle on Fri, 12/07/2007 - 14:40.This slide show from the German solar energy group Solare Brucke illustrates a parabolic solar concentrator that is used to heat an iron block on wheels. The block can be wheeled indoors at night for heating and cooking. Subsequent slides show the world's largest solar cooker in India, which feeds 30,000 people a day using sunlight--along with details of the modern steam kitchen which it powers. There are also slides of other types of solar cookers.http://wka3.de/bildergalerie/bildergalerie1/cgi-bin/einzeln_pix.pl?bild=Unbenannt-32.jpg&intervall=2&stop=stop
