Scheduled Site Maintenance

STAR-TIDES.net will be upgrading servers Monday, March 17th from about
1700-2200 Central.  Once the server upgrades are complete we will start
the site upgrades.  Once the site comes back up there may be a lag
until the domain name properly resolves.  Expect that the servers and
the site will be back up and fully functional by Tuesday, March 18th,
0600 Central.

TIDES at Pentagon Center Court

TIDES had two and a half excellent days at the Center Court of the Pentagon from November 18-20.

On Sunday a team of volunteers, including twelve students from
Engineers Without Borders at the Johns Hopkins University, assembled
two hexayurts, a Shelter Box tent, and a Yurt Dome shelter to join the
UniFold shelter that had been set up on Friday. The weather was
beautiful for the set-up.

TIDES Phase I Report

TIDES (Transportable Infrastructures for Development and Emergency Support)—Phase I TIDES is a research project focusing on information sharing and low-cost infrastructures to support populations in stressed environments, such as Stabilization and Reconstruction (SSTR), Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR).  TIDES Phase I demonstrations were held in Oct-Nov 2007.
