A rural bandwidth team has been formed to support people working on the ground to enhance connectivity to rural communities. Team members have skills such as (1) installation of different kinds of communications capabilities, (2) functions such as tele-medicine, tele-work, and distance learning, (3) network design, seeking out funding opportunities, and administrative support, (4) experience in various geographic regions. The project focused first on Native American Communities, but has begin to expand to other areas such as rural Vermont and North Carolina. Future work may include Puerto Rico.
